question: so whenever i do ab exercises (leg lifts, crunches, etc) i am sore everywhere except my abs! how can i consciously engage my abs more so that i am doing the exercise correctly? does anybody have some advice for me?
after several hopeless attempts to resurrect this health blog and an overall healthy lifestyle over the past year, I have decided to give it another try. I am hoping this new found interest will provide a beneficial escape from all of the ~personal~ issues i’ve been dealing with this summer.
I have recently started running (something I have been terrified of for the past few years, not because of the physical pain, but the genuine fear of doing something different and unfamiliar) anyway- it has gone very well and i intend to keep it up.
I need this to be a part of my life because well, things have not been good at all, and I need something to focus on that is not (for lack of a better term) hating myself.
i just made an iced chai latte with mix i got from trader joes. it was really easy to make, and tastes just like starbucks! it’s great because they are my favorite drink there, and these are probably a lot cheaper. also— this has about 190 calories, while starbucks has 350! yay!!!

my first order of business is …. vacation! i am going to arizona in exactly two weeks and i really want to get in shape! i am going to try so hard to eat healthy and stay on track…
